Often filling the growing area with its heavy fragrance, this member of the Milkweed family is one of our most exciting fragrant plant introductions in recent years. Clusters of golden yellow blooms form along the vining stems during the summer months. Individual blooms emerge successively over a period of weeks emitting a rich, heavy fragrance that’s reliable day or night. Used for leis in Hawaii, it grows vigorously during the long warm days of summer with growth slowing and eventually coming to a standstill throughout the winter.

Fast grower, charming plant

This guy GROWS, especially in summer'�I love seeing the frequent new vines seeking something to grip to. I finally put in on a bamboo U-hoop trellis and it's just beautiful. I have it potted pretty tight in a clay pot to prevent any root issues, and it seems to like a fair bit of water. I have had it since the winter of 2018 and I can't wait for it to bloom'�maybe next summer! I have it in a west-facing window and it's quite happy there.
