This beautiful plant reached Alaska late in the season in great condition. I kind of hate the thought of removing the brilliant, shiny leaves for cooking. Surprisingly, I've learned that the fruit is good for cooking to cleaning. Now I just need to look up some recipes.
Only 1 branch with about 25 leaves. Absolutely not as pictured. Also, pot not included. I do not see a description where it would say if pot is included or not, but the description does say "Lime Leaf (Citrus hystrix)
#C2016-4G 4" Pot
$34.95
132 available" which would honestly believe you to include the pot. Oh well. Lesson learned, will buy on Etsy from now on.
Oh, will say plant looks healthy and I'm glad to have some leaves to add to my curry since it's crazy they do not have a Thai temple market or any Asian markets that sell kaffir lime leaves or plants.
Did not dissappoint. Have gotten used to expect quality products from Logees. This plant arrived well packed and now thriving in its new pot. Green leaves and fragrant as expected.
The plant arrived safely and healthy. It smells so nice, I will just wait for the plant to transplant it and grow bigger then I am going to use its leaves in my Thai soups along with lemongrass which I have also bought it from Logee as well.
Ordered the 2.5" pot version of the Kaffir Lime tree, and it arrived safely and looking healthy. Just opening the secure packaging, I could smell the deliciously heaven-scented lime leaves from this little plant about a foot tall. All the leaves were a nice green with a soft waxy feel to them. Can't wait for it to mature and branch out and I can start harvesting leaves for my Thai dishes I've started cooking. Lime juice is an ok substitute, but it just isn't the same as the real leaves. Logee's has been great, and they have promptly answered all my questions so far.
