This abutilon has grown substantially since I received it a couple months ago and now looks just like the photo. It's continually loaded with buds and blooms. I like that the blooms are pendulous but still face outward so you can see the contrast between the pink petals and white centers. So far, it's completely disease free (which is saying a lot, since I'm constantly battling spider mites on my various plants).
I've had this abutilon for less than a month, and it's already loaded from top to bottom in buds and blooms. It seems very happy in a south-facing window. As usual, the plant I received from Logee's was super healthy and in excellent condition.
This is a fantastic easy plant. One year in, it has over 20 blooms right now. Wish I could send a picture!
I couldn't make up my mind what plant to buy. So, I asked a Logees customer rep which one she would take to the proverbial desert island. An Abutilon, she replied. So, I ordered Abutilon "Blushing Belle" and am delighted. It's tree-like with broad leaves, and reddish-pink flowers you can't believe the slender branches support. It's a marvel.
If you're looking for continued & vigorous blooming, easy maintenance, rose-pink flowers and an all-around delightful plant, get this plant!
The first one I had sadly died under the jaws of a Labrador puppy, and I just received a new one. Barely 5" tall and the little beauty already has 6 perfect buds on it!
I live in NE Ohio, so this plant comes inside for the winter, very happy in a partial sun window. Blooms, less vigorously, thru winter.
A gem!!
