P When I bought this plant last year, it was hysterically underpotted- it was maybe in a 3-inch pot, but 3.5-4 feet tall. After putting it in a big pot, and placing it in a corner under some medium artificial light, it started taking off. A few months after purchasing, it began to bloom for a few months, each cane producing one new bud a day. The plant hasn't bloomed since, but produced baby plants at the ends of any of canes that have bloomed already. I neglected it pretty poorly, but like my other spiral gingers, it's shrugged uneven watering off. It looks like other wide-leaved Costus, but has less-succulent leaves with fuzzy backs.
