Lightning Bolt Jewel Orchid (Macodes petola)

One of the miniature Jewel Orchids, Lightning Bolt, or Macodes petola, has tiny, sparkling veins running through its green, velvety leaves, making it look like lightning bolts in a summer storm. It is a terrestrial orchid and suitable for a pot or terrarium. Grow in sphagnum moss that you keep evenly moist in an indirect light location. Small white flowers appear in fall. This is a small plant as shown in the photo.
