Hardy Terrestrial Orchid ‘Shi-Ran’ blooms for 4-6 weeks in late spring and
early summer. The flowers look like small cattleya blossoms and arise on tall spikes
that can have 5-20 orchids per spike. The lavender flowers have dark purple, furrowed
lower lips. Green pleated leaves form clumps as the plant matures. Grow in
rich, well-drained soil in full to partial sun. This hardy orchid is virtually disease free.
