Hydrangea Next Generation® ‘Red Sensation’ PP (Hydrangea macrophylla hybrid)

Appropriately named, ‘Red Sensation’ creates quite a show of bright red snowball- type flowers during the summer to fall blooming season. Juvenile flowers emerge lime green and turn red and then deep purple at full maturity. It can be used as a standalone accent container plant on a patio or plant it directly in the ground in a garden border or foundation planting. Flowering starts in mid-summer and ‘Red Sensation’ will rebloom until the fall months. Once the first wave of summer flowers finish blooming, cut off any remaining blossoms to make room for the next round of fall flowers. Hydrangeas make beautiful, long-lasting fresh or dried flower arrangements.
