‘Black Velvet’ is a miniature alocasia with outstanding foliage. The heart-shaped leaves have a velvety appearance and are dark green to black with prominent white veins. The leaves have a stiff texture. This plant makes a striking statement on a windowsill or interior scape. Grow in bright indirect light and water so the soil stays evenly moist but not waterlogged to keep the root system healthy.

Lovely Leaves

Recently purchased this plant and after 2 months, it bloomed! I was so surprised and thought it must be happy in the spot I have placed it. It's a gorgeous, healthy plant. Love it!

Beauty in Velvet

Got this with three leave's and It has sprouted three more. No leaves have dropped, which is fabulous. I repotted this in a self watering pot in Pon and It is doing fabulously

Purchased this stunning alocasia on a whim on my last in person trip to Logee's. In the last 3 weeks it has put out 2 new leaves! I am shocked as a.) alocasias have always been tricky for me and b.) it's February. I absolutely love the velvety look and feel of this gorgeous plant. So happy I was there in person and had that impulse purchase- one of the many that day.
