Be careful not to throwaway plant when it goes to dormancy. After blooming a lot, in a part sunny location, during winter and early spring as a hanging plant in a tree, it all started to wither and brown down to the ground in early March. There was a hint in the growing information that it might go dormant, so I held onto the plant. Well it apparently did go dormant. The tiniest green leaf appeared today near the base of the old plant. Can't wait for more to form. Kept it outside in mostly shaded area and watered only sparingly when soil seemed mostly dry, during our hot summer. Great plant. Only thing about description was, even though the blossoms are scented, they are not as strongly scented as described. Though I only had the first year's blossom to base my scented opinion on. The plant shipped was in great shape and almost started to bloom right away. Most happy with my purchase of this unusual plant.

Black Flowered Geranium (Pelargonium glaucifolium)
$19.95
We are re-introducing the Black-Flowered Geranium, a cactus geranium, that’s famous for its intense, heavy and rich night scent. Blooming in late winter and throughout the spring season, the flowers have dark maroon petals accented by golden edging. The leaves have a bluish cast and grow with ruffled edges. Like any geranium, it can tolerate some dryness and prefers to be grown in full sun. Mature specimens often experience a dormancy during the summer months but will soon return with vigor once the shortened day length of fall arrives. Supplies are limited. Order early.
