I Got it to flower after having it for a few months. I totally was surprised when I was checking all my others that are in bud/ flower right now and noticed this plant had this tiny little burgundy flower and the smell is incredible just like fresh coconut. It was a shocker i didnt even see any buds It just sort of appeared. But I love it
I typically have a green thumb & this looked like an easy plant to care for. Sometimes I over or under water but my plants all look good. Received it & transplanted after an adjustment period. Mixed a medium of 2 parts Orchid bark & 1 part Coconut Coir. The plant is doing well, esp since it now has more growing medium. I also bought the Orchid spray from Logee's & use regularly on it as well as my other Orchid. I planted in an Orchid pot that has air circulation from top to bottom. I did read they like clay pots.We shall see how it does in this pot.
I love this orchid soooo much. I have quite a few orchids (COUGH COUGH) but this one Ive had for two years now and its grown so big and dense. I didnt get it to flower yet but I just found out that Im putting it in too shady of a spot for the winter. I have many other plants that take window priority in the winter and sometimes my orchids suffer for it. But this year I am determined!!! Ill give it another star when I get my blooms haha
