Byron's videos are very helpful! I ordered my curry about 18 months ago and my plant is responding exactly as Byron indicated. It's grown so beautifully.
I ordered two plants, which arrived in great shape. About three months later, they have doubled in size and look very healthy. They will save me many trips to the Indian grocery store about 30 minutes from my house, where I usually go just looking for curry leaves!
I mentioned the leaves as "fragrant" and it's true, but with a personal caveat. The plant arrived happy, fluffy and healthy (but I know I can rely on Logee's to send healthy plants that won't be vehicles for pests). I didn't know exactly what curry leaves smelled like other than some conflicting descriptions I've read. I figured they are popular in South Asian cooking, I love South Asian food, why not. Well, I think that this is one of those "what does cilantro smell like" type of situations. The leaves smell like sulfur and burnt rubber, with a sharp terpene kind of zing. I'll try cooking with them, but yes, maybe not for me. However, the plant is really nice on its own. I love the fern-like foliage, and it's great as an ornamental in my indoor "green space".
The plant was full and beautiful - they are hard to find so was happy to find them. Shipping/packaging well done and plant arrived healthy and neat with great replanting instuctions. Inspected it well - a previous purchase from another greenhouse came infested with scale bugs so I'm very cautious with new plants from new greenhouses - no issues here. Will definitely order from here again.
I recieved my curry leaf plant almost 3 years ago. This is small when you recieve it and curry tree naturally grow a little slow for the first year or so. I have now pruned it for the third time a couple weeks ago so it will have 6 branches growing fresh curry leaves for cooking. The prices and shipping are worth it considering other sellers on other sites sell theirs for much more. You can definitely tell logees takes pride in their plants.
