John One of my favorite plants, it grows surprisingly fast (even in New England). Although easy to grow and forgiving of many conditions, northern growers should be ready for the challenge of growing this plant out of its native zone. The sheer size of the plant requires some creative thinking when growing indoors for the winter, and more when it comes to moving the plant outside for the summer. It's a very cool cactus and, in my opinion, worth the effort. Purchased about 2 years ago, mine has just reached fruiting size and I'm hoping for a flower this year.
