Brad Plant was larger than expected. Lots of new growth. Thanks!
We are excited to offer this selection of Jaboticaba since the medium-sized tree is very productive. If given full sun and proper fertilization, ‘Sabara’ usually fruits in 4-6 years whereas the standard Jaboticaba can take 5-10 years to fruit. Best of all ‘Sabara’ has 3 to 4 cycles of flowers and fruit each year. The shiny black fruit develops in clusters close to the woody stems and has a sweet pulp under the skin. It’s commonly called Brazilian grape. This tasty fruit is an enduring plant for containers.
