Lipstick Plant ‘Rapunzel’ (Aeschynanthus Japhrolepsis)

Appropriately named, ‘Rapunzel’s long, trailing, braided foliage makes a wonderful backdrop for the bright red striped flowers that emerge from the deep red calyxes. It blooms intermittently and is nearly a perfect houseplant. It’s known as the Lipstick Plant because of the shape of the flowers. It’s perfect for a hanging basket and thrives in a bright spot like a partially sunlit window but not in direct sunlight.
