The tree arrived well packed and in excellent condition. It is thriving after planting.
I have several of these vines growing along a fence. The flowers are beautiful and the bees love them. This is the first year that they fruited. The fruit is about 3' across. They overwinter well in zone 6b/7 popping up in late Spring. The plants are vigorous growers and need to be trimmed back to keep them under control.
This is the 4th time I've ordered from Logee's and every plant arrived healthy and of large size. I may be able to get this Passiflora cheaper elsewhere, but I couldn't ever get such high quality, healthy plants! I'll continue buying from Logee's!!!
I received my Maypop today in the post, and couldn't get over how healthy and full of lush foliage the plant is! I've grown these in C. Illinois where they were fabulous. Now I'm in the Pacific Northwest zone 7b. I'm curious to see how well it does here. This plant has worked well for me as a medicinal tea for tension headaches.
I purchased 2 hardy Passiflora (1 purple, 1 white) several years ago. The white one didn't survive 1st winter (in CT) the purple has come up every year since & bloomed profusely. This year it has "invaded" the garden & yard...I have now removed it & continue daily to remove the new plants that pop up...just a little warning.
