So this past year I have learned that when a plant description calls for '�full sun', it depends on the location as to if you should agree with them. Having recently moved to the high desert, my neighbors told me (after I planted) that full sun should only be given to desert or tropical plants, and everything else should go in partial shade. I however had foolishly planted my rose in an area that gets about eight hours of full sun a day. By midsummer I thought I killed it. But during August it found its roots, put out new leaves and dropped all the old, dead leaves. While it is still not the best place for the rose, I will wait for a better time to transplant. I am extremely impressed that it is still alive.
I also gave one of these roses to my Mom for Mother's Day. She lives in a more normal environment, and had lush beautiful roses all summer!
(An FYI on the roses: They start out as a pale yellow to almost white. After a day or two the start to get a blush and by several days after they bloom they look like the roses in the picture.)
