4" Pot Size

An orange flowered Phalaenopsis is a color that orchid breeders have set their sights on for many years. ‘Carrotcake’ is a new hybrid with yellowy-orange flowers. It’s creating a sensation in the marketplace. Flower spikes can reach up to 24” tall and there are 10-12+ flowers per spike. The long-lasting blooms hold on the plant for 2-3 months. ‘Carrotcake’ often reblooms in both spring and fall. Leave the old flower spikes on the plant since it will frequently rebloom from old spikes. ‘Carrotcake’ is shipped in short spike, ready to flower in your home.

Plant Care

Tips for Success:

• Grow in an east or west window or under lights.• Avoid growing areas with hot noon day sun.• Bring the moss to near dryness between waterings,   then thoroughly saturate the moss (it’s better to under   water a little than over water).• To bring into flower, subject the plant to temperatures in   the high to mid 50’s at night for a period of four weeks.   This is most easily done in the fall.• Fertilize only lightly and then only during the active   growing season which is usually spring to fall.• For long term growth, use a clay pot. Clay will ensure a   quicker drying time for the moss and in turn will keep   the roots healthy.

Outstanding!

Ok, you guys outdid yourselves this time! My orchid plant I received is enormous, healthy, and has two big flower spikes. I can't wait for them to open. I have several phalaeonopsis orchids and this one is the cornerstone of my collection! Good job!

Nice and healthy plant, not as vibrant as photo

The orchid arrived well-packed and healthy with buds on the stem. After approximately a month the first flower has just opened. It definitely has an orange tint, but does not appear as vibrant as the picture.
