Variegated Purple Shamrock Plant (Oxalis triangularis atropurpurea)
This fantastic foliage plant has been resurrected from a vintage Logee collection, and has recently regained popularity. Not only does Shamrock Plant perform well in the home environment, it is also a highly desirable houseplant especially for those with less than ideal light levels. The triangular-shaped foliage is vibrant purple with black leaf edges. Light purple flowers emerge in clusters of 2-5 blossoms. Variegated Purple Shamrock Plants are grown from small corms and are forgiving of neglectful watering. Plants sometimes benefit from a dry dormancy for a few weeks in the winter but then sprout new leaves when watering is resumed. Corms can be separated to start new plants for yourself or a gardening friend. Order early. We have a limited supply.
