Voodoo Lily (Amorphophallus konjac)

Voodoo Lily (Amorphophallus konjac)

SKU: R1880-4

4" Pot Size

If you crave strange and unusual plants, the Voodoo Lily is a perfect candidate for your collection. The inflorescence is an enormous, upright bloom with a tall central spadix. The flower is dark maroon, and emits a strong carrion odor to attract pollinators. Plant the tuber in a container in late winter or early spring. Within a few weeks the Voodoo Lily flower spike will emerge and come into its full glory. In summer, a fleshy speckled stem arises that’s crowned with palmate leaves. It goes deciduous in the fall. The Voodoo Lily tuber requires a dry, dormant rest period every year. It can be removed from the container and stored in a dark, dry location or left in the pot but allow the soil to dry completely. This unusual aroid is a rapid grower in spring. We are only offering it for a few weeks so act quickly if you want one.
