Camellia ‘Scentuous’ (Camellia lutchuensis hybrid)
For fragrant flowers during winter and early spring, Camellia ‘Scentuous’ is second to none. The semi-double white blooms that resemble apple blossoms are blushed with pink and flower over many weeks. When grown in containers in the north, blooms appear at the beginning of the year. In southern gardens, it is a mid-season bloomer for early season color. The flowers are highly fragrant and arise along the branches of this upright grower. As is the case with most of the Camellia lutchuensis hybrids, it is vigorous, flowers easily and grows fast. Cool nights are a must during the winter.
