Firecracker Plant (Crossandra pungens)

This easy-to-grow and attractive houseplant has narrow, dark green leaves with distinctive silver veins. Bright yellow flowers emerge along the edges of the thick flower spikes. After the flowers have passed, seed pods form. Once the pods dry out completely, the seeds will shoot out from the pods like small firecrackers.
