Night Blooming Cereus ‘Mark Twain’ (Epiphyllum oxypetalum)

Night Blooming Cereus ‘Mark Twain’ (Epiphyllum oxypetalum)

SKU: S7708-4

4" Pot Size

This rare and unusual epiphyllum came to us from Mark Twain’s House in Hartford, CT. Like Epiphyllum oxypetalum (the standard-bearer of excellence for epiphyllums), ‘Mark Twain’ has large 8-10” fragrant blooms. But on this unusual “sport,” each flower has an extra row of inner petals with ruffled edges – making it a nearly double-flowered epiphyllum. It’s a strong, vigorous grower that blooms during the long days of summer. Blooms open as soon as the sun goes down and stay open all night, then close in the morning. You’ll want to stay up late when these flowers bloom too enjoy their sensational beauty and fragrance. This rare hybrid is desirable for any collector!
