This is more a review of the order processing than the plant...
This plant, and the other I ordered- a Night Blooming Jasmine, arrived today in the most amazing condition! Each pot was perfectly wrapped with some lightweight paper shreds wrapping the stems with a light black plastic (?) wrapper designed to keep the soil in. Then each plant was wrapped in damp lightweight newspaper. Perfect! The brick of coir material was packed in with them, and that too was packaged perfectly. The brick was literally taped down inside the box to keep it from moving around and damaging the plants. I've mail ordered plants plenty of other times, and most were ok on arrival, but this care with packing was the best I've ever seen. Well worth the additional shipping and handling charges! If free shipping matters to you get over this thought when ordering from Logee's. Your plants are guaranteed to show up in great condition.
I'm sure the plants will do well as long as my occasional black thumb doesn't do them in! Seriously, night blooming Jasmine is a tough plant and I'm sure the Orange Jasmine will do well also. Can't wait for them to bloom - I had night blooming Jasmine planted under my bedroom window when I lived in Florida and the fragrance was heavenly.
Have found this to be a low-maintenance plant that blooms every time it undergoes a flush of growth. I put this plant in a large deck planter from spring to summer, then dig it up and put it in an 8-inch clay pot for the winter. It tolerates this uprooting and will bloom in a sunny window as soon as it rebounds from the disturbance. Zone 5B.
Arrived in great shape. Good size.
Just as described! Wonderful fragrance and a beautiful specimen. Sent a second one to a friend and both are still thriving years later. Recommend it!
I received this plant last June and its first blossom opened today at 13" high in just under 4 months. The buds are rather odd - knobby little things that don't look like they will do anything until they suddenly start developing.
