The first plant did not survive the trip. When plants have one or two leaves only, I have noticed that they almost never survive shipping, esp. passifloras. But Logee's was kind and replaced this plant. Several months later, it has started blooming. (I wish I could attach a pic.). I decided to keep it inside, though am in zone 9b/10?. This passiflora is H2O thirsty. A lot! I was happy to provide it and I also sprayed it with water almost daily. P. is placed near a window facing south/west direction with lots of sun. It is blooming now. Flowers take an insanely long time to open up and stay open only for 2 to 3 days. But they are worth waiting. I am thrilled with this passiflora. It's blooms take your breath away. Amazingly beautiful plant. Thank you Logee's:-)

Passion Flower piresii (Passiflora piresii)
$16.95
Here is an excellent subject to fill any sunny exposure or garden trellis. This hybrid Passion Flower's brilliant color and ever blooming nature is outstanding. A cross between P. vitifolia and P. quardifolia, the 6" diameter flowers are defined by narrow sepals and petals and a uniform orange color. Taking the best of both parents, it's always in flower, even during the darker days of the year. This strong vigorous grower performs admirably, when planted in the ground or grown in pots. If space is limited, a hanging basket is an excellent choice.
