Bought these for the Peterson varieties. The size of the trees was underwhelming compared to Paw Paws from other nurseries. In addition the taproot was cut off pretty close to the base which I understand should not be done to Paw paw trees. Was reassured by Logees that this was normal and that the trees will make it. We'll see after the winter of south WI (zone 5B)...
I ordered these, the NC-1 Paw Paw, the Persimmon Meader and Persimmon Nikita's Gift. I planted them at the ideal time during the fall and followed all directions for planting and not a single one survived. I've planted many trees and shrubs throughout the years from different companies and never had a failure rate like this.
Have followed your directions for my trees, they arrived on the 24 of May, were planted in their permanent place on June 4, hope to have fruit on my trees in 3 years,. will update later, thank you, Logee's, love my trees
