I ordered 3 of the "rarer" philodendrons from Logees. The prices of these have become a bit ridiculous since they have become trends. But I really wanted the verrucosum and the melanochrysum and I trusted Logees to send well-rooted plants, at least. So I decide to order from them despite the increased cost. While watching one of Logees videos on big leafed philodendrons, I spotted the Sodiroi. It looked beautiful in the video so I decided to order that too. Of the three, the Sodiroi was the only one that arrived without significant damage to most of the leaves.
Since it arrived in such great condition, I decided to see how it did as a houseplant. (I have the other two growing outside in pots). It has done wonderfully for me-putting out 3 beautiful leaves with a fourth on the way. My house is maybe 50-60% humidity (even with the a/c running constantly). And it is in a very bright indirect Eastern exposure . The leaves are about 5 inches across. I'm very happy I ordered it.
