With its popularity growing exceptionally fast, we are happy to offer the Swiss Cheese Plant, also called Monstera adansonii. This is a very easy-to-grow houseplant with exotic, eye-catching foliage. Each mature leaf displays multiple oval holes, called fenestrations. These holes are theorized to allow sun and water through to the lower leaves in tropical environments and help the leaves stand up to forceful wind. Swiss Cheese Plant is meant to climb and when given a trellis or pole, it will reward you with larger leaves as the plant grows taller. Alternatively, when not climbing, the plant reverts to a more vine-like growth, sending out thin branches that look beautiful cascading from a hanging basket or draping over tables and windowsills. This plant prefers a fast draining soil mix, bright, indirect light and plenty of humidity.

There is much confusion about Monstera adansonii and Monstera obliqua. Obliqua’s leaves are very thin and 90% of the leaf surface is holes. Adansonii’s leaves are thicker with holes that cover about 50% of the leaf surface. Obliqua is extremely rare. Adansonii is often called M. obliqua but they are not the same species.

Beautiful, healthy plant!

My adansonii arrived in perfect condition! Healthy and actively growing, not a single leaf damaged It was really well packaged to easily withstand the shipping process, and Logee's sent it out as soon as weather conditions were appropriate

Beautiful and much larger than expected!

I was so pleasantly surprised by the size of the adansonii I received! It was only in a 4" pot but the amount of plant I got was plentiful and great, mature, healthy leaves. Other plants I ordered were larger than expected too. I am now a big fan of Logee's!

Monstera adansonii has been on my wishlist. I stopped at Logee's for something else and inquired about them. I wasn't planning to go through the greenhouses that day as I had my two boys with me (11 months & 3 years). The staff took a walk to see what was in stock, and returned with a whole tray of adansonii for me to choose from. Each plant was in perfect condition, all had new leaves emerging and selecting which plant to take home was very challenging. Once home, the plant has been thriving and I am so thankful for the great customer service Logee's always provides, and the exceptional plants they sell.

I was so happy to find this plant I had long searched for. I ordered it and it arrived sooner than expected. This Monstera Adensonii was packed exceptionally well. It arrived in perfect condition. In fact, as someone who orders plants online, Logee's packing department is top notch.

The real deal

I have ordered other Adansonii from other growers in the past and they all fail in comparison to the one that Logee's sell. This one is the real deal! All leaves have lots of Swiss cheese holes, even the youngest leaf. Packed delicately and it arrived in pristine condition. The plant is very healthy with very established root system. I'm so excited! My #plantmother friends will definitely be asking where my Adansonii came from. Logee's - highly recommended!!!
