2.5" Pot Size

From Brazil comes a wonderful container plant for the full-to-partial sun exposure. From the tips of the lateral growth, small blue flowers dangle from pendulous stems blooming throughout most of the year. The flower bracts continue to bloom for many months with flowers arriving daily. On sunny days, the flowers will close in the afternoon but remain open all day if it’s cloudy. As plants mature, it develops a unique lateral branching habit that gives it an Oriental look. To maintain the plants at the desired height, top prune the rising growth. A member of the spiderwort family, it is easy-to-grow and tolerant of extremes in culture.

Easy and beautiful, blooms extensively indoors

I received this plant in fall 2018. It's indoors in an East-facing windowsill. It has been a true delight. Each morning, 3-6 flowers come out from May through late September. The flowers die by the afternoon but new ones come out in the morning. I trimmed it heavily after the first year and it made new blooming stalks and branches. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous, easy to care for

The plant arrived on time and carefully packaged. There was already healthy foliage and a robust root system, so it recovered from shipping stress within a week. It is growing so well and already put out two new flower stalks since arriving a couple of months ago. This plant is happy here in North Carolina on my patio in July (morning sun, dappled afternoon shade, high humidity and 90 degree average temps). Such an interesting, easygoing beauty.

Great plant for not-so-great plant parents

This is a tough little gal that's survived my arguably benign neglect. I potted it in a Lechuza self-watering container, set it out on a partially shaded porch ... and... kinda forgot all about it. In the 2 months I've owned this little gem, it has has almost doubled in size despite me and bloomed.
