Bc Orchid Beverly Matherne (Brassocattleya hybrid)
Attractive white
flowers have
purple spotting
throughout the
petals and a
purple lip. The
fragrant flowers
measure 3.5-4”
wide and the
bloom season
ranges from
fall to winter to
spring. There are usually 3-4 flowers per spike and the flowers last 4-6 weeks.
This easy to grow and robust orchid can bloom twice a year in favorable
conditions. Considered to be a primary hybrid since it’s a cross between two
species: Brassavola nodosa and Cattleya amethystoglossa. This is a blooming
sized plant in a 4” pot.
