Coconut Orchid ‘Green Valley’ (Maxillaria tenuifolia hybrid)

Coconut Orchid ‘Green Valley’ has super-size pseudobulbs since it’s believed to be a tetraploid form of the original Maxillaria tenuifolia so it creates an impressively large plant. Red flowers with spotted lips emit a strong coconut smell, and blooms appear in spring and summer and last 3-4 weeks. This easy grower performs well on a brightly lit windowsill with Phalaenopsis orchids. It needs bright light to flower. ‘Green Valley’ can become a large specimen with many growths and flowers.
