Here’s an interesting caudiciform
plant that makes an unusual
houseplant. Fockea edulis has a gray
caudex made from twisted and tuberous
roots and long thin branches
that climb up the 10” wooden trellis.
Whitish-green flowers often appear in
summer. It is partially deciduous losing
some of the small green leaves in winter.
Grow in partial sunlight and water
regularly from spring to fall but reduce
watering in winter during dormancy.

wooden trellis as shown in the photo.
