Kool Aid Bush (Psoralea pinnata)
Terminal clusters of small, fragrant, bi-colored lavender and white flowers arise during the spring months on this South African shrub. Kool Aid Bush makes a great container plant for sunny exposures, enjoying cool, but above freezing, temperatures during the winter into spring months. It has fine, needle-like foliage and upright growth habit. Flowers arrive in late spring and bloom for many weeks, and the blossoms smell like grape Kool Aid. Once flowering has finished, it can be pruned back to maintain size.
