Atwood™ was the first variety released from the Kentucky State University breeding program. The medium-sized fruit have a creamy, sweet flavor. KSU Atwood™ ripens in mid-season and is prized for its incredibly heavy crop (often more than 150 fruit per tree). You must plant another Paw Paw variety with ‘Atwood’ for cross pollination. Either the Susquehanna® or the Shenandoah® are suitable pollinators for the KSU Atwood™.
• Our Paw Paw plants are approximately 8"-12" tall, and may produce fruit in approximately 2-3 years.
