Albuca ‘Frizzle Sizzle’ (Albuca spiralis)
Are you looking for an unusual plant to bring enjoyment and whimsy to your gardening endeavors? Albuca ‘Frizzle Sizzle’ has thick, tightly curled leaves on short stems that arise from an underground bulb. Fragrant yellow flowers appear in spring on flower spikes that are adorned with10-20 blooms per spike. The blossoms have a light vanilla fragrance. Grow in full sun and allow the soil to dry out between waterings. There are no pest or disease problems with ‘Frizzle Sizzle’ so it makes an ideal home garden plant that’s distinctive and eye-catching.

Special Note to Customers: Albuca ‘Frizzle Sizzle’ is a spring bloomer. When it sends up flower stalks, it often causes the tips of the leaves to brown. This is a natural occurrence. If you don’t want this to happen, simply remove the flower stalks as soon as they start to grow to prevent leaf tip browning.

  4. beautiful plant but not growing well for me Review by JM
How do you rate this product?

It arrived well packaged and in great shape (with flowers!!!). I was very much looking forward to seeing it grow but i fear that my home simply can't provide the level of bright sun that it needs. I will be giving it to a friend in the hopes that it can survive in a different location. It really is a wonderful, unique plant. (Posted on 4/7/2017)

  5. Great plant once esablished Review by Ihaveaplantproblem
How do you rate this product?

When I got it, I put it in a sunny east facing window but I guess that wasn't sunny enough? Some of the spirals died back. When it was like this I was super careful on the watering, letting it go dry then watering thoroughly. It grew back so perfectly! It was so cute in the clay pot I put it in!. It's slowing down now that we are going into October and I suspect the winter is gonna have to be a dry one for this little guy. Keep it warm and as much sun as you can give it (Posted on 10/2/2015)

  6. I just love my Frizzle Sizzle! Review by Sherry
How do you rate this product?

I've only had this plant for just a couple of weeks and it's grown by leaps and bounds! And it is already sending up a shoot of flowers!! Now I wish I had ordered more than one plant! I've got to say, that every plant I've purchased from Logee's has been perfect! Very well packed, so the plants always arrive in good condition even if the box they come in is smashed!
