Australian Sarsparilla (Hardenbergia violacea)

Violet, pea-shaped flowers arrive in profusion during mid-winter to brighten up the short days of the year. Tolerant to dry conditions, this Australian vine attracts much attention when in full bloom. A strong grower with stiff, leathery leaves, it can be grown in a hanging basket or staked in a potted container.
