At Logee’s,
Byron is always
hybridizing
begonias for new
color variations,
forms or textures.
Begonia ‘Amelia’s
Kaleidoscope’ has all three pleasing attributes. Its kaleidoscopic form of coppery-
bronze juvenile leaves aging to chartreuse-lime mature leaves with an
overall netting pattern brings this begonia to life. Amelia, one of the Logee’s
growers, took a liking to this hybrid and grew this medium to full size rhizomatous
begonia into a mature specimen. We thank Amelia for believing in this
one. The colors are richer and deeper in the summertime and turn lighter
in the wintertime. It is a strong and vigorous grower with pink flowers rising
above the foliage in winter.
