Easy grower and is a cane type that stays short. pinching it makes a nice bushy plant. Blooms profusely. Looks good as a single specimen or in baskets or window boxes.
Being a begonia lover, has my eye on this one to group with my collection and it really does stand out and create contrast with my other begonias I purchased on my last trip. I was an awe with the size of the plant as well. It even arrived with flowers!!
I have had this plant in my home for a couple of months, and we are finally the best of friends. The first little while I struggled with perfecting the lighting, as i had a few leaves dry and fall off for seemingly no good reason. I found that as long as it is shaded by my other begonia (torch) than it does perfectly! I believe it may be because of all the white on the leaves, so they are a little more delicate than my other cane begonias. It is a very fast grower, and even bloomed for me. The flowers dropped off after about a day (i forgot to water that day, woops), but they were very pretty while they lasted. I cannot wait until this plant grows more so i can cut and propagate to have a more full pot. 100% recommend.
Fast shipping & healthy plants. Highly recommend
This is an easy, healthy begonia that thrives for me summer and winter. I find that angel-wing types often have leaf patterns so subtle they don't really draw notice. Not so here! It really earns its name, and is dramatic even in big groups of plants on my terrace. It puts up with all my winter neglect, too. It does seem a little sensitive to cold -- don't leave it out as autumn cools (like I did), the leaves can yellow and drop. It's now recovering nicely in an east window, though.
