Black Jewel Orchid (Ludisia discolor)
One of the easiest orchids to grow, this terrestrial species from South Asia is grown both for its richly marked foliage and spikes of pure white, yellow-throated blooms. Its roots are adaptable to most standard potting mixes and it tolerates varying degrees of soil moisture with ease. This trouble-free plant is a welcome addition to any indoor plant collection.

    FYI I took a cutting of this wonderful orchid from a friend in Florida over 30 years ago and it has kept on going and has allowed me to raid it for cuttings ever since. Always gets compliments . So easy to grow. Gorgeous blooms. (Posted on 3/2/2019)

    This plant is so easy to grow and maintain. It came in bud,four spi!d's in total loaded with buds. They bloomed in a nice whiteish yellow color. Very long lasting. (Posted on 5/1/2018)
