Iochroma ‘Ashcott Red’ (Iochroma hybrid)
Beautiful, bright-red tubular flowers attract a large number of hummingbirds during the summer-through-fall blooming season. Flowers emerge all along the stems and create a sensational show for the gardener to enjoy. Iochromas are in the same family as brugmansias and are often called “Mini Angel Trumpets.” Grow in full sun with frequent applications of water-soluble fertilizer to maintain consistent blooming.

Nice plant. Can I winter it over in the basement ? Review by Mary
How do you rate this product? Our plant is 10' tall. taller than the 5' in the catalog. It is in an 8 gallon pot. It started to blossom in the last week of August. The bee's can't get in the flowers but they try. The Hummingbirds are attracted to it. It has great structure, and we love it. I feed it once a week, and water it with 2 - 5 gallons of water a day.
We tried to winter over our last years plant, but it did not make it. I would be grateful for some tips.
Thanks,
Joe & Mary (Posted on 10/1/2017)
