4" Pot Size
Darth Vader Flower (Aristolochia salvadorensis) is a remarkable botanical curiosity named for its extraordinary, sinister-looking flowers, which resemble the dark, helmet-like mask of the iconic movie villain. Native to Central America, this unusual evergreen shrub has a distinctive growth habit, with low-growing stems that spread along the soil surface. Its fascinating blooms feature a dark, hooded appearance with contrasting markings and emerge near the base of the plant. Some flowers emit an unpleasant odor that attracts insect pollinators, which are temporarily trapped inside the white floral chamber 'eyes' by downward-pointing hairs as they become coated in pollen. To help this unusual plant thrive, provide warm, humid conditions, bright indirect light to partial shade, and consistently moist, well-draining soil.
Available in a 4" pot.
