Begonia ‘Amelia's Kaleidoscope’ (Begonia rhizomatous hybrid)

At Logee’s, Byron is always hybridizing begonias for new color variations, forms or textures. Begonia ‘Amelia’s Kaleidoscope’ has all three pleasing attributes. Its kaleidoscopic form of coppery- bronze juvenile leaves aging to chartreuse-lime mature leaves with an overall netting pattern brings this begonia to life. Amelia, one of the Logee’s growers, took a liking to this hybrid and grew this medium to full size rhizomatous begonia into a mature specimen. We thank Amelia for believing in this one. The colors are richer and deeper in the summertime and turn lighter in the wintertime. It is a strong and vigorous grower with pink flowers rising above the foliage in winter.
