Costus 'African Princess' (Costus fissiligulatus)
Costus 'African Princess' is an easy-grower with open-faced blooms of rich pink accented by a yellow throat that give this ginger a place in any tropical plant collection. Its modest size, up to 3-4’ tall, and vigorous growth make it a fool-proof tropical bloomer. The upright canes terminate into cones of flowers that emerge one at a time over many weeks. Originating in West Africa, it does equally well as a container plant or landscape plant in frost free areas.
