Robert Winkley As a rule, the Crown of Thorns I've purchased from Logee's have been large, well established plants with good root system. The plant I received of 'Lemon Surprise' appears to be a fairly recent rooted, small unbranced cutting and had not yet developed a robust root system. That said, it is acclimating to it's environment (outside on a very sunny roof deck) and has put on at least a couple new leaves. Hopefully it will develop sufficiently so that when it has to come back in for the months of October through May it will not suffer any setback. I look forward to seeing it bloom, as it is very different from any of my other CoTs

While many of our Crown of Thorns are larger, well-established plants, growth can vary from one variety to another, and some may be shipped as younger plants that need a bit more time to mature.
