Honeysuckle Kintzley’s Ghost™ (Lonicera reticulata hybrid)
Honeysuckle Kintzley’s Ghost™ is a charming hardy shrub that makes an impressive statement in the landscape. In spring, the foliage looks like other honeysuckles but as it sets flower buds, unique blue-hued saucer shaped bracts develop around the small, fragrant yellow flowers that attract pollinators to the garden. Once the flowers pass, red berries appear that are edible for birds. The unique foliage has the appearance of eucalyptus. It can reach 6-12’ high x 5’ wide. This climber creates visual delight when grown on a fence, trellis or obelisk. Unlike other honeysuckle, Kintzley’s Ghost™ is not considered to be invasive.
