Kool-Aid Bush (Psoralea pinnata)
Terminal clusters of small, fragrant, bi-colored lavender and white flowers arise during the spring months on this South African shrub. Kool-Aid Bush makes a great container plant for sunny exposures, enjoying cool, but above freezing temperatures during the winter into spring months. It has fine, needle-like foliage and upright growth habit. Flowers arrive in late spring and bloom for many weeks, and the blossoms smell like grape Kool-Aid. Once flowering has finished, it can be pruned back to maintain size.
