This plant was a darling. I sometimes order plants from other sellers due to financial constraints, and sometimes this works out. But when I have to be confident that I am going to receive the best, healthiest, most vibrant product available, AND the most satisfactory customer service, I ALWAYS choose Logees. I have never been anything less than delighted.
I visited Logee’s for the first time just to buy this orchid. It was the last one they had and one of the leaves was damaged but otherwise it looked healthy. I repotted a couple days later into a sphagnum/bark mix. The root was healthy and it’s doing great. The second picture taken three weeks after repotting shows a new leaf in progress and there’s a new growth at the base. I’m so thrilled with it!
I had an online order shipped to me in a nearby state. It was in transit for about a day. I followed the recommendations on the included instructions to let it acclimate a few days before repotting. I have to repot because 100% sphagnum moss stays damp too long in my home environment. When I repotted the plant, I was very sad to see there were only dead roots in the growing medium. However, the leaves are still beautifully green and sparkly like a healthy cutting. So, I'm hoping that it's a resilient plant that'll start growing roots from the stem in its new pot and growing medium which is now 50% spaghnum, 30% perlite, and 20% orchid bark.
Hi Mary-
We apologize for the delayed response. We are sorry to hear that your orchid hasn't preformed well for you. If you still have the plant, if you would like, you may send a photo over to our email at info@logees.com so that we may forward this over to our horticulturalist for their insight? We look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you,
