My Mulberry arrived in great condition in a 4" pot and already has little berries growing on it. The leaves are green and no damage occurred during transit. I am very happy with my little plant. I can't wait to plant it outdoors and see it grow. Thanks for a great little tree Logees!
I know I have already submitted a review but I HAD to review this plant again. I have had this plant for roughly 10 days. 10. And there are not one, but two baby berries already growing. Keep in mind this plant arrived DORMANT. I am so excited, and I would definitely recommend buying this plant.
The box had a dent when it arrived with two other plants, the plants inside were very healthy and had no evidence of any damage. The plant arrived dormant but, after one week, there are already three leaves. I am really excited to have a nice supply of mulberries this year.
Ordered this a year ago now. Grew very well first year in a 24"pot,did not survived the our freak winter storm here in Texas 2021. Was not ready for a real Winter! This was my bad. I do love there Plants and have just got another one on the way. Thanks Logees! (Posted on 4/26/2021)
I grow this tree indoors with leds on 24/7 as sort of an indoor bonsai type tree. It grows really fasts and produces fruit every time it is trimmed back.
The berries are sweet when picked a day or two after they turn completely black. Although to be honest I pick them a day early for more of a sweet n sour flavor because it taste good. Either way it's up to your personal taste.
I bought the 4" pot size about 6 months ago. In that time the tree has grown 3-4' tall multiple times and was cut back about 5 times to keep it under 2' tall. Each time it was cut back it produced a new flush of berries.
It is growing in a 5 gallon pot and being fertilized with organic bottle nutrients General Organics BioThrive grow (2 tsp per gallon).
I love it!
