Passion Flower 'Indian Giant Granadilla' is a self-fertile clone that only requires hand pollination to produce giant fruit. No additional plants are needed for pollination. The 7 inch long fruit ripens into a golden color that is used commercially in passion fruit juices and is tasty eaten alone. It has beautiful flowers with maroon petals and vivid amethyst filaments. The vine is large and needs support and room to grow. With lots of light, regular watering and moderate fertilizer, Passiflora quadrangularis should flower within a year. Prune only after flowering.
