Pitcher Plant ‘Fat Chance’ (Sarracenia rosea hybrid)
‘Fat Chance’ is a carnivorous plant with short, stout pitchers that have tiny hairs on the inside of the hood. The hairs help direct insects down into the pitcher where they will be dissolved for food. Pitchers are green in low light, green with red veins in medium light and they are dark cranberry-red in full sun. Short pink flowers bloom in summer. ‘Fat Chance’ can be grown in a terrarium since it prefers moist soil.
