Handwritten Greeting Card with your order - Meyer Lemon
Deep purple, 4” flowers arise from spring through fall on the upright vining growth of this vigorous climber. The growth habit of this selection is more contained than many in the genus which lends itself to container growing especially where space is limited. It can be maintained with pruning as an upright potted plant or allowed to rise up and grow as a vine. We’ve successfully trained Purple Allamanda as a standard with one seasonal pruning in late winter, and it flowered nonstop from spring until late November here in CT. Another positive attribute of Purple Allamanda is its strong root system that gets it through the short days of winter with ease. It thrives in warm temperatures with a full sun exposure.
